The trail starts in a car park on the banks of the river La Borgne de Ferpècle and leads through the cultural landscape to La Forclaz. It then continues through fields and meadows to Le Sépey, as far as the riverside. Then follow the Lièfranc path back to the start. This part of the walk can be a little muddy after a few days of bad weather.
