Try this 2.9-km out-and-back trail near Haute-Nendaz, Valais. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 30 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding and hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The best times to visit this trail are May through October.
The walk begins at the Tracouet restaurant, where several lift facilities converge. The path then leads to Lake Tracouet to continue the climb to the top of the Dent de Nendaz. This is at an altitude of 2463 meters and offers a magnificent panorama over the entire region.
This is a beautiful climb up to the peak of the “tooth” through large rocks, green and small trees. I don’t know if “easy” is the right description. Moderate would be my choice. Also, depending on how you decide to take your route down, can definitely change the entire experience. One can take the crest of the nearby mountain range and add another 3 hours by hiking and a wonderful walk through the “biss” before returning to Haut Nendaz. Great exercise, wonderful nature and views everywhere .
